The Classic Chorus functions as any chorus does with a Level knob for volume, Depth knob for the amount of the effect you desire, and a Speed knob for how fast the effect modulates the signal. The Bypass switch with red LED indicator for ‘on’, is a true bypass switch which helps prevent signal degradation. By engaging this switch you turn the effect on or off. The Vibrato switch, engages the Rate knob which takes you from a Chorus effect in a counter-clockwise position, to a Vibrato effect in the clockwise position….plus everything in between. The Speed, Depth and Level knobs are universal for both effects. The pedal can be powered by a 9v battery, but we recommend a regulated 9v power supply (like our Big John 9 Volt DC Power Supply).

The Speed, Depth and Level knobs are universal for both effects. You will notice a distinct drop in your highs, but Carl says this is intentional….it will keep your sound warmer and rounder, plus, when you use this effect with Distortion/Overdrives it won’t fizz out or die, you will just get that massive overdriven chorus/vibrato effect that you always dreamed of |
| For light Chorus effect, set the Speed knob at 9 O'clock, the Depth knob only about 12 O'clock, and with the Level knob set the match the bypassed level. | ![]() |

For a faster chorus effect turn up the Speed knob to 1 O'clock or more, the Depth knob up to 3 O'clock to get a deeper and more extreme sounding effect. |
| To get a warm and more modulated chorus, engage also the Vibrato switch, set the Rate at 11-12 O'clock, the Speed at 10 O'clock and the Depth a bit more moderate only at 2 O'clock. | ![]() |
